About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quarry Operator to join our team at our Bodalla NSW site. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position playing an significant role in the day-to-day operations of our quarry.
The successful applicant will have proven hands-on experience operating heavy machinery and be confident working in a quarry environment. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, willing to work, able to listen and follow instructions, and comfortable taking direction from management.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating heavy machinery, including front-end loaders, dump trucks, excavators, screens and crushing equipment.
- Carrying out pre-start inspections and reporting any faults or maintenance requirements.
- Assisting with the extraction, processing and stockpiling of quarry materials.
- Monitoring equipment performance and reporting issues as they arise.
- Following all workplace health and safety procedures.
- Identifying and reporting hazards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assisting with general quarry duties as required.
- Working with the team to ensure daily operations run safely and efficiently.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous quarry and heavy machinery operating experience is essential.
- Experience operating loaders, dump trucks, excavators and screening equipment.
- A reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
- Someone who is willing to work and takes pride in doing the job properly.
- The ability to listen, follow instructions and take direction.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Practical mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify equipment issues.
- The ability to work outdoors in a hands-on environment.
