Design / CAD Designer (Manufacturing)
About the Role
Working closely with our production and development teams, you will play a key role in designing, refining, and improving our product range. You will be involved from concept through to production, ensuring designs are practical, efficient, and aligned with our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop 3D models and technical drawings for new and existing products
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing
- Contribute to the development of new product lines and continuous improvement initiatives
- Review and refine designs to improve functionality, efficiency, and quality
- Work closely with fabrication and assembly teams to support production
- Assist with documentation, specifications, and design updates
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in CAD design and drafting (SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360 or similar)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal experience highly regarded)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive mindset with solid problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
Preferred (but not essential)
- Experience in product design within manufacturing, 4WD, caravan, or similar industries
- Relevant qualification in Engineering, Design, or a related field
- Experience working directly with production or fabrication teams
