Beacon Legal has partnered with a growing international infrastructure business in the search for a Senior Legal Counsel. This opportunity would suit a lawyer with approximately 10+ years’ post-qualification experience who is looking to take on a commercially significant role supporting major construction and development projects.

We’re seeking a commercially minded and proactive front-end construction lawyer to support the business’s expanding infrastructure portfolio. The role offers exposure to complex construction contracts, procurement and projects underpinning the growth of AI and digital infrastructure.

About the Role

- Provide legal support on major construction projects, from procurement through to delivery.
- Draft, review and negotiate EPC, design and construct, consultancy and other construction agreements.
- Advise on procurement strategy, contract structures and the allocation of project risks.




- Work closely with development, projects and commercial teams to support construction and project delivery.
- Provide practical advice on contract administration, variations, claims and other issues arising during delivery.
- Manage external legal advisers across relevant jurisdictions.

What we’re looking for

- Admitted to practise in Australia.
- Approximately 10+ years’ post-qualification experience in front-end construction, gained in reputable private practice and/or in-house.
- Significant experience advising on major infrastructure or development projects and negotiating complex construction contracts.
- Robust technical, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, adaptable and team-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication, drafting and problem-solving ability.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
