Coastal Dental Care Runaway Bay is co-owned by our principal dentist and sits right in Runaway Bay Centre. We’re part of a dentist-owned network of 18 practices across the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, but each practice runs like your local: patients we know by name and a team that actually knows each other.

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join us full-time, working chairside with our senior dentists. You’ll be their right hand through the day, which means learning how they like to work, staying a step ahead in the surgery and helping patients feel settled in the chair.

The roster is Monday to Thursday, 7.30am to 5.30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break each day. That’s 38 hours across four days, so your Fridays are free.

What you’ll be doing

- Assisting your dentist chairside: passing instruments, preparing materials and processing digital X-rays
- Setting up and closing treatment rooms, and keeping the surgery and sterilisation area neat and compliant
- Sterilising and reprocessing instruments, and keeping infection control records up to date
- Looking after patients from the moment they sit down until they head back to reception
- Helping manage stock levels and general practice admin

What we’re looking for

- 2+ years’ experience as a Dental Assistant, including chairside support
- Strong knowledge of infection control and sterilisation processes




- Availability for the full Monday to Thursday roster, including 7.30am starts
- A calm, caring and patient-focused approach
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Willingness to keep infection control and first aid qualifications current

Preferred

- Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting
- Familiarity with Dental for Windows (D4W) or similar software
- A four-day week on full-time hours, with every Friday free
