Are you the calm in the storm?

At 6am, the phones start ringing. A nurse is unwell, a shift is suddenly uncovered, and a client is counting on us to show up. That’s where you come in. First Choice Care is a nursing agency placing nurses within healthcare facilities. We’re looking for an Early Morning Allocator to own those first few hours of the day: managing sick calls, finding replacement cover, and making sure every facility gets the care it’s been promised.

What you’ll be doing

- Taking sick calls and last-minute changes from 6:00am
- Quickly finding and confirming replacement nurses so no facility is left short
- Keeping facilities and nurses informed when changes happen
- Updating rosters and records accurately as you go
- From 8:00am, as the wider team logs on, supporting with administration tasks as needed

About you

- You have knowledge of healthcare and its compliance requirements
- You’re confident making quick decisions and speaking with facilities and nurses
- You stay level-headed when several things need fixing at once
- You’re self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the early hours




- You communicate clearly and kindly, even when time is tight
- You bring energy, initiative and a genuine eagerness to help
- You’re confident with computers and pick up current skills and systems quickly
- You have your own work-from-home setup, with a quiet space to work and reliable internet
- Rostering, scheduling or allocations experience in nursing or healthcare is a plus
