About the role

Dipino is seeking an experienced and motivated Concrete Estimator to join our team in NSW. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the Australian construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years experience estimating concrete, reinforcement and formwork structures across commercial and residential projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong knowledge in concrete, reinforcement and formwork, excellent technical skills and the ability to work independently, manage tender deadlines and deliver accurate, competitive and comprehensive cost estimates.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for formwork, reinforcement and concrete works.
- Interpret and analyse structural and architectural drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
- Develop detailed labour, plant, equipment and material cost build-ups.
- Estimate concrete, reinforcement and formwork structures for commercial and residential construction projects.
- Prepare tender queries, identify scope gaps, assess project risks and clarify discrepancies within tender documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers throughout the tender process.
- Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure pricing accuracy, scope alignment and commercial competitiveness.
- Support the preparation of tender submissions, cost breakdowns and commercial and residential project summaries.




- Assist with the preparation of tender comparisons, cost reports and other estimating documentation.
- Identify potential safety risks, construction challenges and cost implications during the estimating phase.

About you

- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Concrete Estimator within the Australian construction industry.
- Proven experience estimating concrete and formwork structures for commercial and residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of the local Australian construction market, including construction methodologies, subcontractor pricing and material costs.
- The ability to accurately interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to develop and manage detailed estimating spreadsheets and cost build-ups.
- Experience using relevant estimating software and construction-related programs.
- Solid commercial and residential construction knowledge.
- The ability to work independently, use initiative and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
