About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Criminal Law, Litigation & Dispute Resolution Lawyer to join our team. This role offers a long-term career pathway within a reputable firm and the opportunity to work close to home. Ideally, we are looking for a motivated and hardworking Lawyer with a minimum of 3 years' post-admission experience.
This full-time position is based in our Emerald office (approx. 3 days per week) and our Pakenham office (approx. 2 days per week). Candidates seeking part-time employment are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse range of client files autonomously
- Provide legal advice and representation in matters including:
- Criminal Law and Intervention Order matters
- Debt recovery
- Building and construction disputes
- Commercial, business, and partnership disputes
- Property and retail tenancy disputes
- Breach of agreements
- Mentor and support junior lawyers
- Receive guidance and mentorship from senior practitioners
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' post-admission experience in criminal law, litigation and dispute resolution
- Comprehensive knowledge of court and tribunal processes, procedures, and rules
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering high-quality client service and working to negotiate best outcome settlements for all our clients
