The Role

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining exceptional hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout our centre. Because you are working in an environment with young children, an eye for detail and a commitment to health and safety protocols are essential.

Key Responsibilities

- Deep Cleaning: Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors across playrooms, corridors, and staff areas.
- Sanitisation: Clean and thoroughly disinfect bathrooms, nappy change tables, and high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, and toys).
- Waste Management:



Empty, clean, and reline all rubbish and recycling bins daily.
- Laundry: Load washing machine/dryer, unload and put away linens as required
- Kitchen & Common Areas: Clean and sanitise staff break rooms and food preparation areas.
- Stock Control: Monitor and restock essential supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper).
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all cleaning chemicals are mixed, used, and stored safely out of reach of children in accordance with SDS (Safety Data Sheets).

What We Are Looking For

- Experience: Previous experience in commercial cleaning, domestic cleaning, or school/childcare environments is highly regarded.
- Blue Card/Child Protected: Must have both a valid Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and have completed mandatory child safe training before commencing work
- Reliability: An autonomous worker who takes pride in their work and can reliably stick to a roster.
- Physical Fitness: The role involves physical work, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Communication: Good communication skills and a friendly, respectful demeanour
