With a rich history dating back to 1814, the heritage building on the corner of Argyle and Macquarie has been a cornerstone of the Hobart community for generations. Its role has continually adapted to meet the needs and expectations of the local community, including its evolution from the city's first post office into a beloved pub in 1851. Responsibilities

- Create a positive guest experience and deliver a high level of service
- Creating “WOW” moments in service and leadership
- A genuine interest local produce and local events
- Ensure effective restaurant operation




- Manage bookings and balance seat capacity
- Daily booking management and reconciliation
- Leading, training and mentoring the team
- Implement appropriate strategies to resolve adverse trends and improve sales

What you need

- Extensive experience in the restaurant industry ideally within Tasmania
- RSA and ideally food handling certificate - You must have a strong awareness of food safety and compliance
- Experience successfully training, mentoring and leading F&B; Teams
- Commercial awareness, take a genuine interest in ensuring the financial success of the venue
- Outstanding service focus and the ability to impart that on the team
- Strong food and wine knowledge particularly of local Tasmanian produce
