The Opportunity

This hands‑on position offers a mix of operational accounting, financial reporting and strategic support. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing day‑to‑day accounting, payroll and trust account functions.
- Preparing and analysing monthly financial reports.
- Monitoring cash flow, budgets and financial performance.
- Developing annual and half‑yearly budgets in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Managing tax reporting and coordinating financial statements and audit requirements.
- Liaising with external finance professionals, accountants and auditors.
- Supporting regulatory financial reporting and compliance obligations.
- Providing clear financial insights to support informed business decisions.

With no direct reports, this role will suit someone who enjoys being hands‑on while maintaining a clear understanding of the bigger financial picture.

About You

You’re a capable and commercially minded finance skilled who enjoys working autonomously,



taking responsibility and building trusted relationships across a business.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Experience managing a finance function or working in a senior accounting position.
- Strong technical accounting skills, including month‑end processes, budgeting and financial reporting.
- Advanced working knowledge of Xero.
- Confidence analysing financial performance and communicating findings to non‑finance stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised approach and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- High levels of integrity, discretion and attention to detail.

Experience with trust accounting, financial services, professional services or regulatory reporting requirements will be highly regarded.
