About the Role:

We are seeking a Physiotherapist for a short end-of-year locum with a residential aged care team in the Wide Bay region, QLD from Tuesday 29 to Thursday 31 December 2026, with accommodation provided. This brief placement is ideal if you have a few days free between Christmas and New Year.

- Assess and treat residents with chronic conditions and musculoskeletal injuries, and develop management plans
- Complete initial assessments to guide care planning and interventions
- Carry out manual handling and functional capacity assessments to support safe care
- Implement falls prevention strategies and educate residents and staff on risk management
- Prescribe mobility aids and clinical equipment to suit individual needs
- Prepare clinical and community referrals for further medical or allied health support

Benefits:

- $50 – $60 per hour + superannuation

- Contract – 29 to 31 December 2026

About You:

- Tertiary degree in Physiotherapy (essential)
- Full AHPRA registration (essential)
- Aged care or residential care experience (preferred)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current driver's licence (essential)
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check, or willing to obtain
- Current flu and COVID vaccination evidence
- Medicare Provider Number, or willing to obtain
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
