Ready for a role where your experience carries weight and your future has room to grow?

Are you an experienced Personal Injury Lawyer who enjoys complex matters, values professional autonomy and wants more than simply managing another caseload?

Perhaps you're a Senior Associate ready for the next step, a Special Counsel looking for greater influence, or an established sole practitioner who loves practising law but would welcome the resources, support and collaboration of a broader team.

If you're looking for a firm where you can make a genuine contribution, influence its direction and build something meaningful, this opportunity is worth exploring.

Optio6 Talent Partners is partnering with a progressive, growing Queensland law firm seeking an experienced Personal Injury Lawyer to join its team.
With an established Queensland practice and expanding work across Sydney and Hobart, the firm offers exposure to complex, strategically significant legal matters, alongside genuine opportunities for qualified growth.

The opportunity This is a senior-level position suited to a lawyer who brings strong technical expertise, sound commercial judgement and the confidence to manage complex, high-value matters.

You'll work closely with an experienced Principal and a collaborative team of legal professionals, with opportunities to influence case strategy, mentor developing lawyers, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the firm's future direction.

The practice offers exposure to matters including:

- Personal Injury & Compensation: Complex injury claims, liability disputes and compensation matters.
- Workplace Injuries & WHS: Workplace injury litigation, employer liability, regulatory investigations and workplace health and safety disputes.
- Medical Negligence: Complex claims involving professional negligence, liability, causation and compensation.
- Insurance & Compensation: CTP, TPD and broader insurance-related claims and disputes.
- Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution: High-value litigation, negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
- Broader Commercial & Regulatory Matters: Opportunities to collaborate on building and construction disputes, default judgments and other complex matters, depending on your experience and interests.

Whether your background is primarily plaintiff or defendant personal injury, or you bring complementary experience in WHS, regulatory litigation or complex liability disputes,

we'd welcome a conversation.

What makes this opportunity different?
Your experience will be valued. Your contribution will be visible.

This is an opportunity to join a commercially minded practice where legal expertise, initiative, collaboration and long-term relationships are genuinely valued.

What you can look forward to:

- Salary from $125,000 - $170,000 + super, with higher-level remuneration open for discussion depending on experience and the opportunity.
- Flexible working arrangements, including work-from-home days, with the structure open to discussion.
- Genuine career progression, with scope to explore Senior Associate, Special Counsel or Partner-level opportunities.
- A seat at the table, with opportunities to contribute to strategic conversations, practice development and business growth.
- Professional autonomy, supported by an experienced Principal and broader legal team.
- Established legal and operational support, allowing you to focus on clients, quality legal work and professional relationships.
- Complex and meaningful work, with exposure to strategically significant matters across multiple jurisdictions.
- Leadership and mentoring opportunities, contributing to the development of colleagues and the practice.
- A collaborative, progressive environment that values practical thinking, initiative and quality client outcomes.

The firm is open to discussing what the right arrangement could look like for the right person, including remuneration, flexibility, seniority and longer-term career aspirations.

Are you currently running your own practice?
We would particularly welcome a confidential conversation with sole practitioners who have built strong client relationships and enjoy the independence of running their own practice, but are considering what their next chapter could look like.

Perhaps you'd like to spend less time managing the operational demands of your practice and more time doing what you do best: practising law, advising clients and building meaningful professional relationships.

Imagine having the support of an established team, systems and resources behind you, while retaining the chance to contribute your expertise, professional networks and commercial thinking.

For the right individual, a Partner-level opportunity is absolutely worth exploring.

Discussions can consider your experience, existing practice, client relationships, professional ambitions and what a mutually beneficial arrangement might look like.

About you Ideally, you'll bring:

- 5+ years PQE with a strong foundation in personal injury litigation and compensation matters. Lawyers with 3+ years PQE and relevant experience are also encouraged to enquire.
- Eligibility to practise as an Australian lawyer, with Queensland practice experience highly regarded.
- Experience managing complex claims, litigation, negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Strong drafting, advocacy, negotiation and client advisory skills.
- Sound commercial judgement and confidence assessing legal risk and developing case strategies.
- A cooperative approach and willingness to mentor or support developing lawyers.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, counsel and professional referrers.
- An interest in contributing to the ongoing growth and reputation of a progressive legal practice.

Experience across workplace injuries, WHS, medical negligence, CTP, TPD, defendant or plaintiff litigation, or broader civil and regulatory disputes will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, we're interested in the person behind the experience. Someone who takes ownership, values quality legal work, enjoys collaboration and wants to be part of a firm where their contribution genuinely matters.

Curious about what your next chapter could look like? Whether you're a Senior Associate ready for greater responsibility, a Special Counsel seeking more influence, or a sole practitioner considering the benefits of joining an established team, we'd welcome a conversation.

Perhaps you're considering a fresh start in 2027, or the right opportunity might encourage you to make a move sooner.

You don't need to be actively looking to be open to the right opportunity.

For a confidential, no-obligation conversation, contact Marie Holloway at Optio6 Talent Partners, or apply directly to learn more.
