Alchemy Recruitment is partnering with a state government client to support them in recruiting for a Senior Advisor (Illegal Camping & Declarations) to join their Land Management and Corridor Management team in Nerang on an initial 6-month contract.

About the role

- Pay rate of $79.18 to $84.56 per hour + super
- 6-month contract starting 2 November 2026, with possible extension
- Full time, 37.5 hours per week, based in Nerang
- Manage illegal camping and other unauthorised access, use and activity on state-controlled roads and land across the Gold Coast, Logan and Scenic Rim
- Coordinate compliance action from start to finish, including establishing legal grounds, arranging site visits with police and outreach services, and organising clean-ups and towing
- Prepare compliance notices, Human Rights Compatibility Assessments and cultural heritage referrals
- Undertake state-controlled road declaration processes and advise on complex land and corridor matters
- Prepare briefs, memos, reports and correspondence, and maintain accurate records and registers

Preferred Requirements

- Experience in regulatory compliance, enforcement,



land management or road corridor management within government
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and procedure to complex, real-world situations
- Solid written skills across briefing notes, reports and formal correspondence
- Confidence coordinating multiple stakeholders, including police, outreach services and contractors
- Self-directed, well organised and able to manage competing timeframes across multiple matters
- Sound judgement and a respectful approach when working with vulnerable members of the community
- Experience with road declarations, the Transport Infrastructure Act or the Human Rights Act (highly regarded)

Preferred Qualifications

- Tertiary qualification in law, planning, property, environmental management, public administration or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Current driver’s licence
- Ability to undergo a criminal history check
