Share Stories, Conversation and a World of Experience
Born in Lebanon and fluent in five languages including Arabic, French, Turkish, Albanian and English, this vibrant lady has a wealth of life experiences and a passion for staying connected with the world around her.
Living in a residential aged care home, she enjoys good conversation, keeping up with current affairs, discussing politics and spending time reading books. She would value the company of a volunteer who enjoys thoughtful discussions and sharing ideas over a relaxed chat.
Whether you're talking about world events, exchanging stories from different cultures or discussing a good book, your visits can bring friendship, connection and plenty of engaging conversation.
- Weekly or fortnightly visits
- 30 minutes to 1 hour
- Any day of the week, between 9:00am and 5:00pm
- One-on-one companionship
If you love meaningful conversations and connecting with someone who has a fascinating international background, this could be a truly rewarding volunteer opportunity.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring excellent joy to the client you are matched with.
