Australian International Foods is a food manufacturer based in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia, producing chilled and frozen snacks and meals for major retail chains and the foodservice sector. We are seeking an Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting Team, reporting to the Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual and ad hoc management information/reports for senior management
- Preparation of product costings for recent products
- Regularly review all existing costings for variances
- Monitor all inputs for production activities while ensuring the costs reflected are accurate
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM) for new products
- Track yield of production runs and report variances to management
- Assist in the planning and order processing of critical raw materials
- Manage inventory by handling stock takes and stock write-offs
- Take part in SAP Business One process improvement initiatives
- Month end accounting input for the preparation of financial statements
About you
- A degree from a recognised university relating to Accounting and Finance
- A minimum one year of post graduate experience
- Advance knowledge of SAP and advanced skills across Windows-based programs, specially in Excel
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible work hours
