About the role

Billy Chow is seeking enthusiastic and professional Waitstaff to join our team on a full-time basis in our Coolangatta, QLD location. This is a pivotal customer-facing role that forms the backbone of our dining experience. As Waitstaff, you will be responsible for creating memorable moments for our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of service. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic hospitality team in one of Queensland's most vibrant beachside locations.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and seating them according to restaurant management guidelines

- Taking accurate food and beverage orders from guests and communicating them clearly to the kitchen and bar staff

- Delivering food and beverages to tables in a timely and professional manner, ensuring orders are correct and presentations are immaculate

- Providing knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, specials, and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experience

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of assigned sections, including tables, chairs, and serving areas

- Processing payments and managing transactions accurately at the point of sale

- Clearing and resetting tables promptly between services to maintain a welcoming setting

- Responding to guest requests and concerns with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach

- Following food safety and hygiene protocols to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations

- Supporting colleagues during busy service periods to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working as waitstaff or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with diverse clientele

- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously during busy periods





- A commitment to maintaining high standards of personal presentation and hygiene

- Knowledge of food safety and beverage service practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certifications

- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and carry trays and plates safely

- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

- A positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service

- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to remain calm under pressure
