Buderim Mountain State School P&C; Association is seeking a motivated and reliable Convenor to manage the day-to-day operations of our Uniform Shop.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on retail role and wants to contribute to a vibrant school community. You'll play an important part in ensuring students and families have access to the uniforms they need, while supporting the wider goals of our P&C; Association.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, and accountable to the P&C; President, you'll oversee the effective day-to-day running of the Uniform Shop, balancing customer service, stock management, financial administration and volunteer coordination.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Retail operations: Opening and operating the Uniform Shop, assisting customers, processing payments and issuing uniform items.

- Stock and inventory management: Ordering stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels and conducting regular stocktakes.

- Supplier relationships: Liaising with suppliers to ensure appropriate stock availability, quality, pricing and service.

- Volunteer coordination: Developing and maintaining volunteer rosters, supporting volunteers and ensuring they are appropriately trained in shop procedures.

- Financial administration: Maintaining accurate daily sales and payment records, banking monies in accordance with P&C; procedures, and providing receipts, invoices and reports as required.

- Shop presentation and safety: Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe environment for customers, volunteers, suppliers and visitors.

- Reporting and communication: Preparing written reports for P&C; meetings and maintaining regular communication with the Operations Manager.

- Community support: Processing second-hand uniforms and assisting with other P&C; business units, events and activities as required.

About you





We're looking for someone who is practical, proactive and enjoys taking ownership of their work. You'll bring a positive attitude, sound organisational skills and a genuine commitment to providing a great experience for our school community.

Ideally, you'll have:

- Experience in retail, retail operations or a similar customer-facing role.

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Confidence with stock control, ordering, recordkeeping and basic financial administration.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, volunteers and school staff.

- The ability to coordinate and support volunteers.

- A reliable, responsible and adaptable approach to work.

- A commitment to workplace health and safety, following procedures and maintaining professional standards.

You'll be comfortable working independently, using initiative to solve everyday operational challenges and seeking guidance when needed.

Award: Parent and Citizens Award, Retail Manager (Level 2), $36.43 p/h
Engagement: Approximately 12-18 hours per week, 42 weeks per year
