We’re looking for a Casual Maintenance Handy Person, someone who is a self-starter and always places the needs of our guests first by ensuring a quality room is presented each time. The right person will be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a team, as well as independently to get daily maintenance tasks done.
n
Responsibilities:
n
n
Ensure all guest maintenance requests are solved in a timely manner.
n
General Handyman duties - including repairing, patching, and painting walls.
n
Coordination and organization of external trades and suppliers
n
Take the lead in implementing and executing a detailed preventative maintenance management (PMM) schedule
n
General cleaning duties including rubbish collection.
n
General gardening duties including but not limited grounds-keeping and gardening ensuring all plants and gardens are kept nice and tidy.
n
Be willing to support the wider hotel team and roll up the sleeves to help
n
Physical activities, including use of ladders,
lifting weights less than or equal to 22kg.
n
n
Skills & Experience:
n
n
Able to work as part of a vibrant team who are hungry to deliver extraordinary results
n
Have good knowledge of in-room maintenance and able to work independently and confidently to ensure rooms are back online quickly for guest occupation
n
Outstanding communication skills to be able to liaise with all hotel departments and guests.
n
Possess excellent time management skills.
n
Be punctual and reliable.
n
Have a solid understanding of Secure Work Practices and OH&S;
n
