Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Psychologist or Social Worker n

As an independent contractor to AKG, you'll be delivering Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counselling to employees for a client of AKG in the Sunshine Coast. EAP counselling is intended to be short term, voluntary (by employee), confidential counselling.

Your responsibilities will include:

n

Provision of short term interventions for our client's staff accessing their EAP

n

Identify presenting problems, gaining agreement with the client's staff about treatment goals and providing an appropriate evidence based intervention

n

Apply appropriate management of risk when required and referral to appropriate services

n

Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety procedures ensuring that team members, including volunteers and contractors, abide by all relevant health and safety procedures

n

Act as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviours and report all accidents, incidents or near misses immediately.

Ideal candidates will possess the following:

n

Psychologist with current General Registration status with AHPRA OR Social Worker with current full membership with the AASW

n





Skilled in short term evidence-based interventions for psychosocial issues presenting within an EAP context

n

Current Skilled Indemnity Insurance (for a minimum of $20 million) and Current Public Liability Insurance (for a minimum of $20 million) and personal accident insurance or equivalent

n

Willing to obtain a recent National Police Check clearance

n

Hold or willing to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check

n

Own private rooms or office to work from

n
