Prior employment as a cook or as a chef
A good working understanding of food safety and kitchen operations
Able to prepare meals of consistently high quality
Reliability, together with the ability to perform under pressure
Good communication skills and a team-minded approach
A positive attitude backed by a strong work ethic
Willingness to live and work in the local area
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery preferred; the employer may consider relevant experience instead of formal qualifications. Food Safety Certificate preferred
Completion of a pre-employment medical, which includes a drug and alcohol test
