Job Advertisement – Chef The Front Page Café – South Plympton, South Australia Full Time Position Base Salary :$75,000 to $80,000 The Front Page Café, a well-loved local eatery in South Plympton known for its vibrant atmosphere and fresh, hearty meals, is looking for a qualified Chef to join their friendly and professional team on a full-time basis. The Front Page Cafe are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about food and thrives in a quick-paced kitchen workplace. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation to menu planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a range of dishes to a consistently high standard
Contribute to menu development and assist in estimating food and labour costs
Maintain hygiene standards and ensure food safety regulations are followed at all times
Supervise kitchen staff,



provide guidance, and assist with training as required
Manage stock levels and coordinate ordering of food supplies
Work closely with Head chef and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Ensure proper storage and preservation of food items, including freezing where appropriate
Offer input into improving kitchen procedures and food presentation

Requirements:
Minimum of 1 to 2 years' experience as a chef
AQF Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A robust team player with a passion for quality food and customer satisfaction
