We're looking for experienced, qualified Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our FIFO team from Perth.

The job

Day To Day, You'll
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
Work on underground equipment, including Sandvik trucks, drills and loaders, CAT graders and Volvo integrated tool carriers
Scope jobs and estimate time, materials and resources
Work closely with shift supervisors,



mechanics and other underground personnel

What you need

The Essentials
Heavy Diesel Mechanic qualification recognised in Australia (essential)
At least 2 years' post-trade experience in underground mining or related industries (e.g. agriculture, civil, construction)
Manual driver's licence (essential) and relevant RPLs to operate underground vehicles
Solid knowledge of underground mining regulations, procedures and secure handling of explosives
Solid diagnostic, fault-finding and maintenance skills
Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding conditions
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen
National Police Clearance within the last 6 months (required)
