We’re looking for a hands-on Casual Shift Manager to join the crew at The Ballpark Portside – where good times, great service, and a little friendly competition are all part of the game plan.

If you love a buzzing venue, thrive under pressure, and know how to keep both your team and guests smiling, then this gig’s for you.

A bit about us:

The Ballpark is where mates, dates, and families come together for a hit, a throw, or a laugh. We’ve got baseball batting cages, digital darts, pool tables, and big screens for every big moment – all backed by a menu of classic bites, cold beers, and top-tier service.

What you’ll be doing:
Running shifts like a pro — keeping service smooth and standards high
Leading and inspiring your team (and keeping spirits up when it’s busy!)
Managing bookings, floor flow,



and the guest experience
Jumping in wherever needed — from the bar to the floor to the mic
Supporting the Venue Manager with training, rostering, and stock control

What we’re after:
Previous hospitality management or supervisor experience
A people-first leader with great energy and communication
Solid organisational and problem-solving skills
RSA, RMLV & Approved Managers Licence
Someone who knows how to have fun and get things done
Commitment to working a variety of shifts over days, nights and weekends
A supportive, social team who actually enjoy what they do
