A rewarding casual or part-time Practice Nurse role is available with Michigan Drive Medical Practice in Oxenford, QLD. As a Practice Nurse, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team, providing high-quality nursing care to patients and supporting the efficient operation of the medical practice.
Key responsibilities
Delivering primary and preventive nursing care to patients, including conducting health assessments, GPCCMP, Ear Syringing, Administering immunisations, Conducting Spirometry, Administering medications, and providing health education to our patients
Coordinating patient referrals and bookings, and assisting with the management of patient records, with high accuracy in documentation
Supporting clinical procedures such as skin excisions, wound care, iron infusions and providing assistance to our general practitioners
Maintaining a secure, clean and well‑organised clinical setting, maintaining high standards of practice in accordance with RACGP Guidelines and Infection Control Standards
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality standards of patient care within the practice
About you
Enrolled or Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
Minimum 1 years' experience in a general practice or primary care setting highly desired
Solid clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based nursing practice
Excellent communication, documentation and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with the healthcare team and patients
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
Proficient in the use of Best Practice Premier medical software
