Australian Training Company is seeking a 1st year Heavy vehicle apprentice who is wanting to complete their Certificate III Automotive – Heavy Commercial Vehicle apprenticeship with a large and reputable transport company. With a fleet of over 100 vehicles you will sure to be exposed to all the requirements to help you complete your trade.

Duties
Repair, maintain and service transmission, steering and braking systems
Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues (repairs, removals, installations)
Troubleshoot braking systems, steering and cooling systems
Maintenance of equipment including brakes and suspension
Assemble, fit, clean and lubricate machined parts using a range of tools and equipment
Follow directions from tradespeople

Requirements
passionate about vehicles,



mechanics and/or the motor industry
keen to learn, enthusiastic and can work in a productive team setting
punctual & reliable
driver’s license

Applicants must be willing to commit to completing their apprenticeship. This includes participation in both practical training and completion of theory-based study components of TAFE.
