A well-established, locally owned public practice firm in Canberra is seeking an experienced Audit professional to join its growing team. This role offers exposure to a diverse client base, genuine career progression, and the chance to work closely with Partners in a cooperative environment.
The Role n
You will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality audit engagements across a range of clients, including not-for-profit, government-adjacent and private sector organisations. Responsibilities will include:

Leading and executing external audit engagements from planning through to completion
n
Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing coaching and technical guidance
n
Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact
n
Preparing and reviewing financial statements and audit reports
n
Contributing to process improvement and the ongoing development of the audit function
n
About You n
You will be a motivated audit qualified looking to take the next step in your public practice career.
You will ideally have:
n
n
CA qualification (or near completion)
n
3–7 years’ experience in external audit within a public practice firm
n
Strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge
n
Experience managing audits and mentoring junior staff
n
Excellent communication skills and a practical, client-focused mindset
n
