Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper (Part time) 25 hours per week n

JP Family Group is seeking a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper to support the day-to-day financial management of the group. Reporting to the Operations Officer and working closely with external accountants, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations for the group and be responsible for core bookkeeping and accounting functions while providing administrative support across the office.

Key responsibilities n

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable
n
Processing payments
n
Assisting with payroll
n
Support the financial management of the group
n
Complete month-end processing and account reconciliations
n
Prepare financial reports and support taxation lodgements
n
Maintain the fixed asset register for multiple entities
n
Assist the Operations Officer with taxation and compliance matters
n
Contribute to the review and improvement of financial processes
n

About you nn




Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or equivalent, or a degree in accounting (completed or near completion)
n
Previous experience in an accounts and administration role
n
Demonstrated experience with MYOB (essential)
n
Proficiency in Microsoft 365
n
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
n
Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a small team
n
The highest level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
n
Adaptability and a willingness to learn new systems and processes
n
