Penfold Marine is seeking an fully qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic / Marine Tech to join our team in Williamstown, Victoria. This is a full-time position responsible for the maintenance and repair of marine diesel engines and associated systems. As a key member of our skilled technical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our clients' vessels.

What you'll be doing
Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine diesel and petrol engines, including fuel, cooling, lubrication, and electrical systems
Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing on a range of marine vessels and equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues, providing effective and efficient solutions
Maintain detailed documentation and records of all work carried out
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert technical advice
Support the wider team in other marine engineering and maintenance tasks as required

What we're looking for
Formal qualifications in Diesel Mechanics or a related field, with a strong focus on marine applications




Certificate III in Diesel Mechanics or related field is required
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably within the marine industry
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and find creative solutions
Strong practical hands-on skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members
A keen interest in and passion for the marine industry
A valid and current driver's licence and the ability to work within a team environment
Permanent residency status is required for this position
