Part time After-School Nanny / Babysitter Needed /n

Hi, I am looking for a reliable, caring and responsible babysitter/nanny to help look after our two children — a girl who is turning 9 this year and a 7-year-old boy.

We are initially looking for help on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons/evenings, primarily with school pick-up and the children’s after-school routine. Additional hours can be arranged for the right person, depending on availability and our needs.

The role will include:

Picking up the children from school and bringing them home safely.

/n
Supervising and assisting with homework and schoolwork, particularly reading and writing.

/n
Encouraging regular reading and helping them stay organised with their school responsibilities.

/n
Preparing snacks and light meals for the children when required.

/n
Helping them follow their usual after-school and evening routines.

/n
Engaging with the children through age-appropriate activities, play and conversation.

/n
Assisting with light household duties and general tidying, particularly tasks associated with the children,



such as tidying after meals and activities, putting away dishes and keeping their areas organised.

Encouraging valuable habits, independence and consistent routines.

/n

We are looking for someone who is patient, dependable, organised and genuinely enjoys spending time with children. It would be particularly helpful to have someone who is confident assisting with primary-school homework, reading and writing and who can provide a warm but consistent approach to routines and boundaries.

/n

A current Working with Children Check, First Aid qualification, driver’s licence and reliable car are required. Previous experience caring for school-aged children and parent references are strongly preferred.

/n

We would ideally like to find someone interested in a consistent, ongoing position who can get to know the children and become a trusted part of their weekly routine. For the right person, there is flexibility to arrange additional hours beyond the regular after-school days.
