The Southern Cross Gold Operations (SXO) is a producing gold asset situated in Western Australia, located 375km east of Perth, Western Australia, 235km west of Kalgoorlie and 32km south of the town of Southern Cross.
The Southern Cross operation consists of a 1.8Mtpa processing plant, two active Underground mines, one active Open Pit with the annual production of 80k oz.
The 5-year plan has a production target of over 500,000 ounces.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and meeting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely mannerReconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepanciesPrepare and process weekly and monthly payment runsUpload payment to online banking platformsMaintain accurate accounts payable records and filing systemsLiaise with internal departments and external suppliersAssist with month-end reporting and audits as requiredEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures
About You
Proven experience in an Accounts Payable roleStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyGood time management skills and ability to meet deadlinesProficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft ExcelStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSAP knowledge is a mustUnderstanding of Accounting Fundamentals:Knows debits/credits, the procure-to-pay cycle, GL coding, accruals, and the impact of AP on financial statements.Understand relevant tax rules (GST)
