Ampcontrol's Underground Field Service team is growing, and we're looking for skilled Field Service Technicians to support our underground mining customers across New South Wales and Queensland.This is an chance to join a specialist field service team working on industry-leading mining and electrical systems.
You'll provide installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance and breakdown support across a variety of underground coal operations while enjoying a 4-day working week, strong earning potential and extensive travel benefits.Based out of Tomago, NSW, this role involves regular travel throughout NSW, with occasional travel to QLD.

Working independently and within small teams, you'll provide technical expertise and frontline support to customers across a range of mine sites.You'll be working on equipment and systems include:Longwall systemsDevelopment power systemsConveyor signal line and communication systemsGas monitoring equipmentHigh voltage electrical equipmentDiesel plant electrical systemsKey responsibilities include:Install, test and commission electrical equipment underground and within workshop environmentsPerform onsite electrical auditing, testing,



fault finding and breakdown supportCommission and install mining electrical systems and equipmentProvide face-to-face technical support to customers onsiteWork independently and collaboratively across a variety of mine sitesComplete service reports and maintenance documentation in a timely mannerMaintain a strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfactionAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will bring:Electrical Trade Qualification with Electrical qualified Supervisors licenseExperience working with HV electrical equipment and systems within mining or industrial environmentsStrong diagnostic and fault-finding capabilitiesExperience with underground coal systems, ideally including Ampcontrol-controlled systemsDemonstrated knowledge of explosion protection techniquesStrong report writing and communication skillsA proactive and task-focused approach to problem solvingThe ability to work autonomously and make sound decisionsA commitment to providing exceptional customer serviceFlexibility to travel and work away from home as requiredThe following qualifications and experience will be highly regarded:Hazardous Area CompetenciesHV Switching QualificationAS**** Repair & Overhaul CompetenciesUnderstanding of AS****, AS****, AS**** and AS****Previous experience with Ampcontrol products and systemsTesting of Protection relaysEmployee BenefitsAt Ampcontrol, we believe great work deserves great rewards.
