We're a close-knit team based in Silverwater, and we're known for accuracy, accountability and long-term client relationshipsAbout the roleIn this full time role, you will play a key part in our construction operations, preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates across a diverse range of projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to contribute to a growing company and take ownership of our tendering being involved right from the beginning of the project.Key responsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and equipment requirementsAnalyse project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to identify all cost componentsCollaborate with project managers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing informationParticipate in the bidding and tendering process, ensuring that our proposals are competitive and profitableContinuously research and stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations,



and changes in material and labour costsProvide support and guidance to the project team throughout the construction processSubmit tenders up to $20MReview and analyse subcontractor quotationsContribute to methodology, risk reviews and value engineeringFollowing up tenders, negotiating outcomes and building relationships with clients, consultants and tradesAbout youExtensive experience (3+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industryThorough understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost estimation principlesProficiency in using construction estimating software and spreadsheet applicationsStrong attention to detail and commercially minded and well organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and the project teamRelevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, quantity surveying, or a related field is desiredExperience using CostX, Cubit, Bluebeam and similarSound fit-out, refurbishment and New Build industry knowledge working for the Head ContractorAble to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
