We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join our production team.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident operating CNC machinery, takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work, and is comfortable providing day-to-day direction to another team member.The successful applicant will operate a range of CNC equipment including a CNC Router, CNC Laser Cutter and CNC Plasma Cutter and will work closely with our Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed accurately, efficiently and on schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Router, CNC Laser and CNC Plasma Cutting machinesRead and interpret drawings, job specifications and production requirementsLoad programs, set machine parameters and complete machine set-upsEnsure components are produced accurately and to required tolerancesCheck finished work for quality and accuracyMonitor machine performance and identify or troubleshoot issues as requiredCarry out routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean and organized work areaPlan and prioritize daily CNC work in accordance with the production scheduleOversee and provide direction to one other staff member working within the CNC areaRegularly communicate with the Production Manager regarding job progress, priorities, material requirements, delays or production issuesMinimize material waste and identify opportunities to improve production efficiencyFollow all workplace health and safety proceduresAbout YouTo be successful in this position,
