Reporting to the Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, investigating stock discrepancies and ensuring physical stock aligns with our inventory system.
This is a hands-on role that works closely with our Warehouse, Purchasing, Sales and Operations teams.
You will play an important part in improving stock accuracy, reducing inventory discrepancies and ensuring our inventory processes are consistently followed.Key responsibilitiesMaintain accurate inventory records across the warehouse and inventory management systemsConduct regular cycle counts and coordinate scheduled stocktakesInvestigate and reconcile stock discrepancies and inventory variancesMonitor stock movements, transfers, adjustments and write-offsEnsure incoming and outgoing inventory is correctly recordedMonitor batch, lot and expiry information for food productsSupport FIFO/FEFO inventory practices and appropriate stock rotationIdentify short-dated, damaged, obsolete or slow-moving stock and escalation issues appropriatelyInvestigate negative stock, incorrect allocations and system discrepanciesWork closely with Warehouse, Purchasing,



Sales and Operations to resolve inventory issuesAbout youPrevious experience as an Inventory Controller, Stock Controller or similar inventory-focused roleExperience in warehousing, wholesale, distribution, FMCG or food environmentsStrong understanding of inventory control and stock reconciliationExperience conducting cycle counts and stocktakesStrong Excel and computer skillsExperience using ERP, WMS or inventory management systemsExcellent attention to detail and problem-solving skillsAbility to investigate discrepancies and follow issues through to resolutionStrong communication skills and the ability to work across different departmentsAbility to work effectively in a rapid-paced environmentAbout usHTC Foods is a growing food importer, wholesaler and distributor supplying customers across Australia.
