You will work closely with an experienced Partner on a broad range of high-quality commercial and civil litigation matters, acting for individuals, businesses, and corporate clients across a variety of disputes.
This role offers strong autonomy, direct client contact, and the chance to take ownership of matters from initial instruction through to resolution, while being supported by experienced practitioners.Key responsibilitiesAdvising clients on a broad range of commercial and civil disputesManaging litigation and dispute resolution matters from commencement through to completionDrafting pleadings, statements of claim, defences, affidavits, correspondence, submissions, and other court documentsConducting legal research and providing clear, practical advice to clientsPreparing matters for interlocutory applications, mediations, directions hearings, and trialsRepresenting clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings where appropriateManaging discovery, evidence, subpoenas,



and other litigation processesBriefing and working effectively with barristers and other external practitionersDeveloping litigation strategies that achieve commercially sensible outcomes for clientsManaging client relationships and providing regular updates on matter progressAbout youAdmitted to practice in Victoria3–4+ years post-admission experience in litigationStrong experience in civil and/or commercial litigationDemonstrated experience managing matters with a high degree of autonomyStrong advocacy, drafting, negotiation, and communication skillsExperience appearing in courts and tribunals will be highly regardedExperience in mediation and alternative dispute resolutionStrong legal research and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlinesCommercially minded with a practical and strategic approach to dispute resolutionAbout usWe are a dynamic, fast-growing law firm located in the heart of the city, focused on delivering efficient, practical, and competitively priced legal solutions.
