Established building contractor in the fit out/refurbishment sectorWork on high-spec hospitality projects in and around the CBDExcellent career progression, culture and employee wellness policyGreat opportunity to join a contractor with excellent presence in the fit out/refurbishment sector with a solid reputation for delivering quality projects.A market leading fit-out/refurbishment contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, our client is now seeking a Site Manager to join their growing business.Projects across high end residential and commercial remediation projects from $500k - $10m+, experience with similar projects in these sectors or similar will be an advantage.As the Site Manager, you'll be running projects as the no.1 on site and would be reporting into a Project Manager.
You'll be expected to manage quality, ensure that programme is being delivered to time and to the correct cost, you'll be managing all logistics and site programme.Candidates need to have experience successfully delivering projects of this magnitude from inception to completion.




Projects they work on are generally Industrial or high end residential.Responsibilities include but not limited to:Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff / subcontractorsReview and manage key project issuesLiaise with statutory bodies ensuring all relevant notifications are madeEnsure site compound and amenities are established and maintainedOrganise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultantsAssist Senior Project Manager with preparing scopes of workUnderstand head and subcontractor contracts, especially in relation to timeframesProduce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing worksQualifications and Requirements:Trade or building related QualificationMinimum 5 to 10yrs years' experience in site supervision of construction projects including planning, programming and management of onsite staff / subcontractorsConstruction Safety Induction (White) cardSenior First Aid CertificateSound knowledge of legislation, regulations and standards relating to building sitesProven ability to lead and motivate subcontractorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read and understand construction drawings and specificationsProficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and ExcelThis is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
