The underground mine represents one of the world's cleanest and largest lead-silver projects.The OpportunityWe're seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mining team at Abra Mine Site.
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will apply your rock mechanics and geotechnical knowledge to support the safe, day-to-day expansion of our underground mine infrastructure and operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport geotechnical data collection, program planning and ground stability design reviewHelp ensure geotechnical design requirements are addressed at extraction plan, stope note and development design stagesConduct regular underground inspections, checking ground support standards and reporting hazardsSchedule ground support audits and collect and interpret geotechnical data from mapping, core logging and site inspectionsMonitor QAQC systems and assist with paste strength and cement content recommendationsWhat You'll Bring2+ years' hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering, ideally within an underground mining environmentWorking knowledge of the WA Mining Act, Regulations and WHS ActFamiliarity with mining software such as Deswik,



Dips and Unwedge is an advantageStrong analytical skills and attention to detailA proactive, adaptable approach and willingness to develop your skills in a growing teamEssential RequirementsBachelor of Engineering or Science with a Geotechnical specialisationCurrent 'C' Class Western Australian driver's licence2+ years' relevant industry experienceWho You AreYou're an engineer who's keen to build your experience underground, with a solid technical foundation and an eye for detail.
