This presents an excellent opportunity to join the business during an exciting period of growth and play a key role within their expanding Melbourne team.They are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major $150million+ development.About the Role:As Senior Project Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project, leading the project team while remaining highly hands-on across the day-to-day delivery.This is not a purely high-level management position.
The successful candidate will be comfortable getting into the detail across programme, design, procurement, commercial, subcontractor and construction matters while driving the project through to successful completion.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the project from delivery through to completionManaging programme, budget, quality and project outcomesTaking a hands-on approach to day-to-day project deliveryLeading and coordinating the project and site teamsManaging consultants,
subcontractors and key stakeholdersOverseeing procurement and major trade packagesDriving design coordination and resolving project issuesWorking closely with the commercial team across cost and contractual mattersManaging client relationships and project reportingIdentifying and mitigating programme and delivery risksMaintaining high standards across safety, quality and constructionJob Requirements:To be considered for the role, you will ideally have:10+ years' experience within the construction industrySignificant experience as a Project Manager / Senior Project Manager Strong experience with a recognised Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder Experience delivering major projects valued at $100 million+ Ideally, experience across apartments, hotels, student accommodation or similar large-scale developments A genuinely hands-on approach with the ability to get into the detail of project delivery Strong knowledge across programme, design, procurement, commercial and construction Proven ability to lead large project teams and subcontractors Strong client and stakeholder management skills Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving capabilities Relevant construction, engineering or building qualifications Lead the delivery of a major $150million+ development Join an established Tier 2 builder during a significant period of Melbourne growth Play a key role within an expanding Victorian business Strong pipeline of upcoming Melbourne projects Genuine long-term career progression as the business grows Senior position with significant project ownership and autonomy Competitive salary package based on experience
