An accommodation receptionist to carry out all departmental duties as specified by the Manager and Supervisorr overseeing the day to day operation ensuring the highest possible standards and to deputise for them in their absence.Key responsibilitiesHave complete operational knowledge of the accommodation department including geographical layout, services provided, linen systems, general controls and personnel structureMaintain highest level of communication with all guests and staffEnsure the highest standards of service and customer care are always offeredEnsure the Booking Software, GuestPoint is accurate at all times and be familiar with all other booking agent toolsMaintain accuracy with invoicing, applying payments and following up with debtorsPerform daily reconciliation of cash on hand and assist with banking requirementsMonitor and maintain cleanliness in rooms, storage areas, rest rooms and public areasAssist with lost property items queries,



tend to any special requests or requirements by guestsMaintain the laundry service and empty the cash from the machines in conjunction with Manager and Supervisor's guidanceAssist with after hour service when on duty as required by Manager and Supervisor absenceAbout youWorking experience within Motel Management and small team environmentsAdvanced level of computer skills in GuestPoint, particularly Word, Outlook, Excel, as well as document management and rostering systemsSelf-directed, motivated, and flexibleAttention to detail and accuracyAbility to work coherently as part of a team, sharing tasks and working cooperativelyAbility to relate to a broad cross section of people and build and actively maintain working relationshipsAbility to define tasks, set priorities and coordinate activities to meet competing deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills including maturity, patience, tact, information dissemination, presentation, and reportingWillingness to travel and be versatile with hours when required
