About the roleChristadelphian Aged Care is seeking dedicated Assistants in Nursing (Casual) to join our aged care facilities in Gladesville and/or North Parramatta NSW.
We have casual positions that offer flexibility whilst providing essential support to our nursing team and residents.
As an Assistant in Nursing, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care and support to our elderly residents, working alongside registered nurses to ensure the highest standards of aged care are maintained.
Your contribution will directly impact the quality of life and wellbeing of our residents in a supportive and respectful care environment.Key responsibilitiesAssist registered nurses in providing personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming, toileting and dressingSupport residents with mobility and transferring, using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipmentMonitor and report changes in residents' condition, behaviour or wellbeing to nursing staffMaintain a clean, safe and hygienic environment for residents, including changing beds and assisting with general housekeeping tasksHelp with meal preparation and feeding assistance where requiredProvide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting dignity and respect at all timesAssist with easy wound care and other nursing tasks under the direction of registered nursesMaintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and resident observationsFollow all aged care regulations,



policies and procedures to ensure resident safety and complianceWhat we're looking forCurrent Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualificationValid NDIS worker checks and National Police Clearance or willingness to obtainCurrent CPR and First Aid certificationStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a teamCompassion, patience and genuine commitment to providing quality aged carePhysical capability to assist with personal care and mobility supportAbility to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy at all timesFlexibility to work casual hours as required, including potential weekend and evening shiftsExperience in aged care or a healthcare setting is highly desirableUnderstanding of infection control and hygiene standards in aged care environmentsWhat we offerChristadelphian Aged Care is committed to supporting our staff and creating a positive workplace culture.
