Due to a recent acquisition, there is an urgent requirement for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the business.
You will be required to keep things running smoothly through the transition.
This isn't a "process and forget" payroll role.
You'll own superannuation processing, STP lodgement, payroll tax across multiple jurisdictions, and GL reconciliations — while working closely with Finance, P&C;, and external bodies like the ATO.
What you'll be doing:Processing and reconciling superannuation payments and STP submissionsPreparing and lodging payroll tax returns across relevant statesValidating payroll GL reports and supporting balance sheet reconciliationsReconciling payroll-to-finance system interfacesInvestigating and resolving payroll reporting discrepanciesSupporting month-end/year-end payroll accounting and process improvementTo be considered for this role, you will have:Robust knowledge of Australian payroll legislation (Super Guarantee, STP, payroll tax)Hands-on experience with SAP HR/Payroll (or similar systems)Solid GL and balance sheet reconciliation experienceAdvanced Excel skills and a genuinely analytical mindsetComfort interpreting awards and enterprise agreementsA relevant payroll or accounting qualificationBased in North Sydney, reporting to the Payroll Team Lead, this is a chance to be part of a business navigating real change — with all the variety and momentum that brings.If this sounds like a role that would be of interest, click 'Apply' and send through your CV.
