Our staff, both site and office, are instrumental to our continued growth and achievements.We're looking for an experienced electrical Project Manager to take full ownership of the electrical works across our civil and utility infrastructure projects – from pricing and tendering through to design coordination, construction, testing and handover.
This is a newly created role as we build in-house electrical capability across a growing pipeline of complex projects, including work with Defence.
We need someone who can run an electrical project themselves – pricing the work, driving the tender, and owning delivery end-to-end – not someone stepping into a project someone else has already won and scoped.What you'll be doing
Take full ownership of electrical projects end-to-end, from tender and pricing through to design coordination, construction, testing and handover
Price and drive tenders for electrical project work, including scoping, estimating and risk assessment
Run electrical projects autonomously, with full accountability for programme, cost, quality and client outcomes
Lead and manage electrical subcontractors to meet safety, quality, commercial and programme targets
Provide technical oversight of HV and LV systems, switchboards, transformers and associated electrical infrastructure
Review electrical designs and drawings, identify constructability opportunities and flag risks early
Ensure works are delivered in line with Endeavour Energy and Ausgrid specifications and standards
Coordinate interfaces between electrical, civil and other project disciplines
Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams
What you bring




Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (equivalent trade/technical background with strong electrical project management experience also considered)
Proven experience as a Project Manager running electrical projects end-to-end – not a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer stepping up, but someone who's already operating at this level
Genuine tendering and pricing experience – you can cost and win electrical work, not just deliver against someone else's estimate
Demonstrated ability to run a project solo, with full commercial and delivery accountability
Solid working knowledge of HV/LV distribution, switchboards, transformers and critical electrical infrastructure
Familiarity with Endeavour Energy and/or Ausgrid specifications highly regarded
A contractor-side delivery background – you've helped build it, not just specified or overseen it from the client side
Strong commercial acumen – comfortable managing variations and claims and owning a project's bottom line
Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills
