About the Role
We are seeking a Sessional Teacher – Hospitality/Cookery to deliver Hospitality, Secure Food Handling and Cookery training.
This role will include supporting the delivery of a new Café Skills training program, helping learners build knowledge and practical skills in areas such as stock rotation, café food preparation, to front of house customer service and order taking in a fast-paced café setting.
Your role will include delivering Certificate II in Hospitality and/or Cookery training that is practical, supportive and aligned with industry standards.
You will help learners build confidence, hands-on skills and workplace readiness, while maintaining accurate records and creating a respectful, inclusive learning environment.
You will join a supportive, dynamic team that values collaboration, professionalism and respect.
While this role offers independence in the classroom, you will be part of a structured,



safety-first team committed to helping learners build practical skills and positive future pathways.

Flexibility, resilience and professionalism in a correctional education setting
The ability to work independently and manage sessional teaching responsibilities
Good organisational skills, computer literacy and attention to compliance paperwork
The ability to bring creativity to hands‐on learning activities
Confidence delivering training, coaching or instruction to adult learners
Experience training in VET environment (desirable)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (completed)
Cert II Hospitality and Cookery qualifications
