More Than Tax is a dynamic, boutique cloud-based accounting firm located in Hawthorn East that offers a wide array of services to our highly esteemed SME clients in various industries; incorporating accounting, taxation and business advisory services.
We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated candidate with excellent communication skills and someone who thrives in a collaborative environment to join our growing team at ourHawthorn East/Camberwell office.
This is anin-office role,and applicants must be willing to work onsite as part of our team-oriented team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Financials and Income Tax Returns of various entities including individuals, partnership, trusts, companies and SMSFs
Preparation of Activity Statements
Accounts reconciliation
Preparation of FBT returns, TPAR, Payroll Tax Annual Reconciliation
Identifying and assisting with tax research and advice on SME tax matters
Assistance with year-end tax planning and advice
Assistance with various cloud-based accounting software and bookkeeping queries
Assistance with single touch payroll, income statements, superannuation, workcover etc.
Liaison with clients, ATO, other statutory bodies and stakeholders
Liaison and providing support to outsourced personnel
The Ideal Candidate




1-2 years experience in business services/taxation
Commenced CPA or fully qualified
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Solid attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills
Self-Driven and results oriented
Strong work ethic and ability to multi-task and work well in a team
Excellent computer and software skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience in Xero and BGL360 will be highly regarded
Committed to continuous development and provide exceptional service to clients
