The Role
We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Rice Cake Operators to join a busy food manufacturing and production team in Leeton, NSW.
Working within the food processing industry, you will be part of a fast-paced production environment supporting the manufacture, flavouring, packing and preparation of rice cake products.
This is a hands-on role where safety, product quality, hygiene and teamwork are essential.
Operators will work across different areas of the rice cake production and packing process while following production schedules, operating procedures and food safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
You will support daily rice cake production by assisting with machinery, packing, product handling and quality checks.
The role requires consistent attention to food safety, packaging standards and safe work practices while helping the team achieve daily production targets.
Operate and monitor production and packing machinery
Support rice cake production to meet daily targets and schedules
Collate finished products ready for packing and distribution
Complete plain line packing of rice cake products
Pack and handle flavoured products within the flavour room
Complete flow room packing and packaging duties
Inspect finished products to ensure required quality standards are met
Check wrapping, labelling and packaging for accuracy and quality




Manually pack finished products onto pallets ready for wrapping and distribution
Monitor products throughout the production and packing process and report quality issues
Follow food safety, hygiene and quality procedures at all times
Complete cleaning and general housekeeping duties within production areas
Follow workplace health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production requirements
Complete other general production duties as required
$***** per hour plus applicable penalty rates
Approximately 6 weeks with potential for extension
Approximately 38 hours per week
Gain practical experience across food production, packing and machine operation
Work within an established manufacturing environment focused on safety and quality
Opportunity to learn multiple areas of the rice cake production process
Your Skills & Experience
Reliable, punctual and able to commit to rostered shifts
Strong focus on workplace safety, food safety and hygiene
Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
Good attention to detail and ability to identify product or packaging quality issues
Physically capable of repetitive manual handling and standing for extended periods
Able to follow instructions, procedures and production requirements
Works effectively as part of a team
Willing to learn different areas of production and packing
Previous food manufacturing, production, packing or machine operation experience is advantageous but not essential
Commitment to maintaining a clean, protected and efficient workplace
