We are seeking a ProjectHSE Officerto join our team at DGH.
This casual position as a HSE Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and promoting health, safety, and environmental standards across our project.

Key responsibilities
Conducting regular health, safety, and environmental audits and inspections across operational sites
Implementing, and monitoring HSE policies, procedures, and compliance programmes
Maintaining accurate HSE documentation, records, and reporting systems
Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards
Conducting risk assessments and contributing to the development of safe work method statements
Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging employee engagement in HSE initiatives
Monitoring environmental impacts and supporting environmental management plans
Supporting emergency preparedness and response protocols
What we're looking for




Minimum Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
Demonstrated experience working as an HSE Officer or in a similar health, safety, and environmental role within the mining, resources, or energy sector
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act **** (Qld) and Environmental Protection Act **** (Qld)
Proficiency in conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and risk assessments
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels
Strong organisational and documentation skills
Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Familiarity with port operations or coal handling facilities is highly desirable
