About the Role
Working alongside our experienced team, you will learn how to:
Read and interpret construction and roofing plans
Complete roofing measurements and material take-offs
Prepare estimates for upcoming projects
Calculate roofing, fascia, gutter, flashing and other material requirements
Prepare and place material orders with suppliers
Check orders for accuracy before they are submitted
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability and deliveries
Keep job information and material requirements organised and up to date




Work with our project and installation teams to make sure materials are ready when required
Organize and maintain team member work schedules
Schedule maintenance servicing of company vehicles and equipment
General administration duties including assistance to other areas of the business, as required
Preparation of OH&S; documentation
You won't be expected to know everything from day one. We will train you in our systems, software and the roofing knowledge required to perform the role.
Please note that this is an in-person role requiring daily attendance on-site.

We're more interested in finding the right person than someone with years of experience.
You will ideally be:
Comfortable using computers and learning new software
Good with numbers and basic maths
Able to pay close attention to detail
Organised and able to follow processes
Willing to ask questions and learn
Reliable and able to work as part of a team
Confident communicating with suppliers and other team members
Interested in developing a long-term career within the industry
Previous experience in construction, roofing, administration, estimating or purchasing would be an advantage, but it is not essential.
School leavers or applicants looking to start their career in the construction industry are also encouraged to apply.
