RN - Lismore Base - Theatre / Recovery / PACU
Lismore Base Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Operating Theatre and Recovery team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician with solid post-anaesthesia care experience to contribute to a busy surgical environment in regional NSW. The contract runs from as soon as possible through to 22 November ****, offering flexibility for the right candidate looking to make an immediate impact in theatre and recovery settings.
Specialised theatre and post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing in a regional hospital setting
Contract position with defined end date, ideal for experienced nurses seeking short-term placement
Based in Lismore, NSW, with opportunity to work across operating theatre and recovery environments
Preferred Requirements




Demonstrated experience in recovery and post-anaesthesia care unit (PACU) nursing
Solid clinical knowledge of post-operative patient assessment and monitoring
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced theatre workplace with changing priorities
Excellent communication skills and capacity to collaborate with anaesthetists, surgeons, and theatre teams
Current knowledge of infection control protocols and theatre-specific safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
Post-graduate qualification or recognised training in perioperative nursing or critical care
Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or willingness to obtain
