The Grand Hotel Healesville is looking for an experienced and reliable
Crowd Controller
to join our team for regular
Friday and Saturday night shifts
.
We're a
country pub in a small community
, so we're looking for someone who understands that valuable security is as much about
people skills as it is crowd control
.
You'll need to be friendly and approachable with our regulars, know how to read a situation, and be experienced enough to step in calmly when needed.
We're not looking for a nightclub-style approach
- we want someone who understands the relaxed, community feel of a country pub while still keeping our staff and patrons safe.
The role includes:
Friday & Saturday night shifts
Regular ongoing work
Monitoring the bar, beer garden and surrounding areas
Keeping an eye on patron behaviour and RSA issues
De-escalating situations calmly before they become a problem




Assisting staff with refusing entry or removing patrons when necessary
Helping us maintain a safe, friendly environment for everyone
About you:
Current Victorian Crowd Controller licence
Experienced in pub, bar or hospitality security
Reliable and punctual
Confident without being confrontational
Friendly, approachable and able to have a laugh
Good judgement and strong communication skills
Someone who understands
country pub culture and a close-knit community
