Westgold are committed to maintaining high safety standards and expect our Truck Operators to collaborate closely with stakeholders within the production department as we work towards our production and safety targets.
Starting on a day's only roster Trainee Truck Operators / Nippers, work 12-hour shifts, once all training is completed and competencies are obtained you will transition into a Dayshift/Nightshift roster rotation.
Comprehensive on‐site training will provide you valuable hands‐on experience operating various UG dump trucks, including the new CAT AD63, Atlas Copco, and Sandvik Trucks.
You will receive training, mentoring, and clear pathways to a long‐term career.
For these roles candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment/Information session at our Training Centre Friday 13th November ****.
Candidates will have access to hear from industry professionals about the day‐day life of a Trainee Truck Driver / Nipper and discuss whether FIFO and mining would be a good fit for you.
These sessions will be held each month and you may be placed in a candidate pool to attend a session.
The duties will include but not be limited to:
Completing equipment pre‐starts.
Operating Underground Dump Trucks.
Completing necessary safety paperwork and processes.
Working with the underground team to provide support in the installation of ground support measures.
Supporting the wider operations with other ad‐hoc tasks as required.
What do I need?
Manual Driver's licence (100% Required)




National Police Clearance (issued within 12 months)
Currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Western Australia
6-12 months experience in a labour-intensive role.
